Obituary

      Sri Gora Chand Basu father of Com. Abhijit Basu, Branch Secretary, AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Barabazar Branch expired on 07.09.2017 at Desun Hospital. He was 75.

     We pay homage to his and also express heartfelt condolence to Com. Basu and his bereaved family.

Joint Branch Conference of Gr. “C” and Postmen & MTS, PSD, Kolkata.

    Today joint Branch Conference of AIPEU, Gr. "C" and Postmen & MTS, PSD Kolkata held at Recreation Club, PSD Kolkata, Kolkata - 700002. Com. Sandhya Neogi, President, Gr. "C" hoisted the Red Flag of NFPE. Then leadership paid floral tributes to homage on Marty's column.

     Com. Sandhya Neogi, President, Gr. "C" and Com. Khokan Natta, President, Postmen & MTS presided over the open session. Com. Manoj Shaw, Financial Secretary, P3 inaugurated the open session. He nicely described the present scenario of working class and tasks there of. Com. Pranab Das, Treasurer, P-IV Circle, Sri Sanjoy Adhikari, Supdt. PSD, Kolkata, Com. Prabir Tahabildar and others many retired comrade were present in the conference. Sri Sanjay Adhikar and Com. Prabir Tahabildar also addressed the open session. Near about 50 Comrades including 10 women were present in the conference. The name of the Munch (Strsge) tributed in the name of Com. Gopal Singha and Nagar also tributed in the name of Com. Dipen Ghosh.
After ending of open session, delegate session of both union started at the separate hall. Respective president of the union presided over the delegate session. Respective Branch Secretaries placed the draft and Treasurer placed acconts on respective house. 10 comrades took part on discussion on draft report, account and organisation Review Agenda. Respective Branch Secretaries replied the all points raised by the delegates on the conference.Com. Pranab Das also addressed the delegate session of Postmen & MTS.

 
     Finally conference ended with the oath to strength our union specially NFPE as a whole. Com. Sudip Kr. Das, Com. Jayanta Ghosh and Com. Arindam Biswas elected unanimously as President, Secretary and Financial Secretary of P3 union respectively from the conference. Com. Khokan Natta, Com. Barun Dey and Com. Tanay Kumar elected unanimously as President, Secretary and Treasurer of P4 union respectively from the conference.

   Finally conference ended with the oath to strength our union specially NFPE as a whole. Com. Sudip Kr. Das, Com. Jayanta Ghosh and Com. Today joint Biennial Divn. Conference of AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Postmen & MTS, GDS and Postal Workers’ Union, Nadia South Divn. held at Gitanjali Hall, Ranaghat on 03.09.2017. Com. Ashok Mondal, veteran leader and President Postal Workers Union hoisted the Red Flag of NFPE. Then leadership paid floral tributes to homage on Marty's column.

Before starting the conference, some mass songs sang by the "Suchetana Group" of this Divn. The name of Munch is tributed in the name of Com. Kaushik Das, and nagar (City) is also in the name of Com. Parth Sarthi Das. Com. Tapas Bhattacharya, President P3, Com. Dipak Poddar, President P4, Com. Niranjan Sarkar, President GDS and Com. Ashok Mondal, President PWU presided over the open session. Com. Bijoy Gopal Sur, All India President & Circle Secretary, GDS inaugurated the open session. He nicely described the present scenario and tasks of working Class.  Com. Tapan Dasgupta, Joint Convenor, 12th July Committee, Com. Annwesha Biswas, Circle Secretary, P3, Com. Sanatan Das, Circle Secretary P4, Com. Sanjib Barua, Circle Secretary SBCO, Com. Goutam Kundugrami, Circle Secretary PWU and Com. Manoj Shaw were present in the conference and addressed the conference. The arrangement of Reception Committee and business of the Conference are very wonderful. Near about 325 including 50 women Comrades were present in the conference. 17 delegates took part on discussion on draft report, accounts and organisational review. Respective Divn. Secretary has replied the all points raised the delegates in the conference.

Successfully Completed Divn. Conference of AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Divn.   

      Divn. Conference of AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has been completed successfully at Postal Recreation Club, Port Blair HPO on 27.08.2017. Following some inavoidable circumstances and also adviced by Circle Union these conference held at fresh. Com. S. Jeyarani presided over the conference. Most of the members including women were present in the conference. Com. Janardan Majumdar, Dy. General Secretary (CHQ) and Circle President, AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Com. Annwesha Biswas, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Gr. “C”, Com. Manoj Shaw, Financial Secretary, AIPEU, Gr. “C” and Com. Sanjib Barua, Dy. General Secretary (CHQ) and Circle Secretary, SBCO Assocation were present in the conference. Com. Annwesha Biswas inaugurated the conference. The on behalf of Working Committee Com. Nirmala initiated the conference and placed the report before conference. Some comrades took part on discussion on organizational review and other agendas.  Other Circle leaders also addressed the conference.  Finally Com. Nirmala replied the all points raised by the delegates. Com. S. Jeyarani, Com. Nirmala and Com. Stephen Fernendez unanimously elected as President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. In our history of Postal movement in this Circle both elected Secretary and President are women. They are very efficient and sincer to staffs and organization. It is well noted point that as like as Sikkim, in Andaman & Nicobar Islands Divn. Postal employees refused to take membership of any other organization except NFPE.
