Indefinite Strike of GDS union continue on 15day and NFPE Group of Union, West Bengal Circle conducted a program to hoisting the Red Flag of NFPE and taking Oath in support of GDS Strike.

The historic strike of three lakhs Gramin Dak Sevaks has entered 15th day. Six round of discussions held so far has failed to reach an honourable settlement due to the indifferent and negative attitude of the Govt. and Postal Board. “Call off the strike first, then we will discuss” attitude of the Central Government cannot be accepted by any Unions. The sugar-coated appeals of the Secretary, Department of Posts could not create any impact on the striking GDS. Nobody resumed duty. Percentage of the strike reached all time high on 4th June (Monday). All attempts of the Govt. and Postal Board to break the strike have miserably failed.
In this situation NFPE Group of Union, West Bengal Circle conducted a program to hoisting the Red Flag of NFPE and taking Oath in support of GDS Strike in every Divn/Branch and the same has been implemented successfully in everywhere.

Strike is continuing on 14th day.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Today we have crossed 14th day. Every where our comrades are more active. GDS/Departmenal still stands by each other in form of agitation, rally, slogan shouting, increasing speech. Govt / Deptt is till reluctant to come out with an acceptable solution. So Strike will continue with commitment and confidence at the base.
