Smt. Shefali Bhowmick, mother of Com. Tapan Bhowmick, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, GDS, West Bengal Circle expired today at 9.00 AM. She was 83. She donated her eyes and body for development of medical purposes. We pay homage to her and also express heartfelt condolence to Com. Bhowmick and his bereaved family.

Donation Camp organized by The Coordination Committee of Central Govt Employees
and Workers Union and Association (Coc), West Bengal

Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Coordination Committee of Central Govt
Employees and Workers Union and Association (Coc), West Bengal on 5th January'
18 at HQ of ITEF, Bengal Circle 3, Govt. Place (West), Kolkata - 700 001 under
the leadership of BBD Bag Zone. 100 comrades including 10 women have donated
their blood in this camp. Com. Janardan Majumdar presided over the camp and Com. Fuyad
Halim, General Secretary, Peoples' Relief Committee, West Bengal inaugurated
the camp. He nicely described the purpose of voluneerly blood donation.
In this occasion, AIPEU, Gr "C", West Bengal Circle has donated a sum of Rs. 25000.00 (Rs. Twenty five thousand) only to peoples Relief Committee for excellent work for dengue patients. In addition to this civil Accounts federation & others also donated to the Peoples Relief Committee.
In addition to this, the Coordination Committee of Central Govt Employees and Workers Union and Association (Coc), West Bengal gave the financial assistance to two poor meritorious students for their higher study.
