Joint Circle Conference of AIPEU Group - C, AIPEU Postmen & MTS and AIPEU GDS (NFPE) West Bengal Circle (including Sikkim & Andaman Nicobar Islands) held on 17^th November 2019 to 20^th November 2019 at Burnpur, Asansol.

Joint Circle Conference of AIPEU Group - C, AIPEU Postmen & MTS and AIPEU GDS (NFPE) West Bengal Circle (including Sikkim & Andaman Nicobar Islands) held at Asansol from 17th to 20th November 2019. The total team of Reception Committee, lead by Com. Goutam Chakraborty, Chairman , Com. Swarup Ghanti , Working Chairman, Com. Goutam Mondal , Com. Tarak Nath Barai, Com. Subrata Mondal , Joint Secretary took the conference to the highest pick in a good manner with very short period.Decoration of Conference Hall, Accommodation, food, and cultural program are very much appreciable. Conception of Cultural programme by Postal Family is inspirable & unique. The performance of them by Song, Recitation, Magic Show are very much beautiful & creative. We congratulate to the entire Reception Committee. All members of the Reception Committee deserve the appreciation.

Circle Conference commenced with Flag hoisting at 11AM on 17.11.2019. The Flag if NFPE was hoisted by Com. Shib Sankar Roy, Ex- Circle Secretary Gr-C & veteren leader of Postal movement, Gr-C Flag was hoisted by Com. Janardan Majumder, President, Gr-C, Postman and MTS Flag was hoisted by Com. Sukumar Mondal, President Postman and MTS, GDS Flag was hoisted by Com. Ashis Dutta, President, GDS. Floral tribute was offered to the martyrs.

All leaders present there paid their tribute by offering flowers one Martyrs Column. Com M. Krishnan, Secretary General, Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers inaugurated the Open Session on 17^th November’2019. Com: K. V. Sridharan, Ex - GS , AIPEU Gr.C (CHQ), Dr. Sujan Chakraborty, MLA & leader of Mass movement of West Bengal , Com. Sanjib Barua, Circle Secretary, SBCO, Com, Goutam Kundagrami, Circle Secretary , Parttime Contingent, S.S.Roy , Veteran Leader of Postal & CGE & Pensioners movement, Tapan Das Gupta , Ex- CS & President, Janardhan Majumdar, Deputy GS, P3 & GS COC WB, Saugata Chakravarthy, President, Confederation, WB , Com. Shantanu Nandi, Circle Secretary, R-III and other distinguished leaders addressed the Opening Session of the Joint Circle Conference.

Dr. Sujan Chakraborty nice described the present scenario of socio- economic condition of the Country as well as state. He reminds us the patriotic role of postal as well as central Govt. Employees to be independence the Nation, specially the ‘Strike of 1946’. He calls to the working class to continue struggle against the economic policy of the Central & State Government. One mammoth Rally of delegate, visitors & prominent leader of postal movement took place. Slogan to save postal service, filling up vacant post, secularism, against downsizing, price rising of essential commodities was raised in the Rally. Rally was honoured at many corner of path by the local common people and mass organisation of Burnpur.

One excellent Seminar on ‘Religion & Communalism’ was held on 18^th November, 19 evening during the conference Com. Somnath Bhattacharya, leader of CITU spoke on the that topic and the audience was spell bound.

Com D. B. Mohanthy, GS, P4 (CHQ) and Com Panduranga Rao, GS, AIPEU GDS (NFPE) also addressed the Conference.

Divisional Secretary of 35 division along with other delegate took part on discussion of the agenda of organisational review, present problem of the Dept. Of Post , NPS, CSI & RICT, Problem of women employees, ensuing Nationwide Strike of 8th January’2020, Contributory Negligence , filling up vacancy of GDS ,PA, Postman & MTS etc. Resolution was also adopted on different issue in the Conference.

After that Circle Secretaries of each cader Gr-C, Postman and MTS & GDS summed up the discussion. They elaborately described each issue raised by the delegates and clarified the position of action taken by Circle Union. They thanked all leaders, Guests who attended the open session.

After that agenda items were got approved by the president one by one.

As per agenda election was held and strong new set of Circle Office Bearer committee of each cader Gr-C, Postman and MTS & GDS was elected unanimously in the said Conference.

Whole Conference of Gr-C, Postman and MTS & GDS was presided by Com. Janardan Majumder, President, Group-C, Sukumar Mondal, President, Postman and MTS & Ashis Datta, President, GDS respectively.
