CLOSING  OF  CENTRAL  GOVT  OFFICES / LEAVE  PERMISSIBLE  TO  C.G.EMPLOYEES  ON  THE  DAY  OF  DIFFERENT  ELECTIONS 

     As Corporation and Municipal elections are scheduled in West Bengal on 18.04.2015 (today) and 25.04.2015, confusions and queries are coming up from our staffs regarding provisions of closure of our offices and/or leave permissible to us. In numerous earlier occasions we explained the admissible options as per DoPT circular no. 12/14/99-JCA dated 10.10.2001, which still sets the conditions.

       However, Com. Pranab Bhattacharya, General Secretary, Administrative Union (NFPE), have met the Chief PMG to clear the air further, and the Chief PMG has also confirmed that permissibility is still controlled by the above guideline.

            Hence, the circular is given below for reference of everyone. Please note that in our present situation, i.e., on 18th and 25th ---- there will be no closure of office, staffs who are bonafide voter of respective constituencies will be allowed to attend office late, or leave early, or remain absent for a brief period during the office hours to caste their votes.
